The textbook we have has a little gallery at the beginning where it showed a picture of the most influential person of each generation.
First was the Wizard of Oz. That makes sense. It is extremly iconic. Seeing that movie is almost a prerequiset to being a child.
Next was Cassablanca. A classic film, who even so many years after it was filmed, is still remembered.
Then Elvis. Elvis with his risque hip gyrations was at the forefront of rock and roll and not only bridged musical gaps, but racial. I've seen pictures where people of all colors and creeds were mixed together at an Elvis concert, even when racism was so prevailient.
Then The Beatles. The Beatles through constant experimentation and sheer briliance became one of the most, if not the most, influential musicians ever. They have a timeless universal appeal with songs ranging from "I Want To Hold Your Hand" to things like "The Inner Light".
This is where things began to rocket downward.
Next was Saturday Night Fever. Not a bad movie, but no Cassablanca. I know for a fact that better things happened in the seventies than disco. Disco was only a small subculture.
Then Madonna. I do not understand that at all. Though all I khow is what I've seen of I Love The 80's reruns...
Now this is where I got super pissed. The textbook said that the most influential person in my generation is Britney Spears. Britney fucking Spears. I may be nieve, but I had this crazy notion that the most influential person has to have actually influenced something, and not just be a filthy whore. What happened to our definition of influence? I saw a commercial that a quote saying "Green Day is the most influential band of our generation". I'm not going to get into an argument about if they're good or not, but they are not influential. They did nothing different and they caused no change. What about bands that actually changed their genre? What about Nirvana? Radiohead? Beck? Modest Mouse? We cannot stand idly by and watch as our generation becomes that of reality TV, cookie cutter rock, and pop star hookers. Don't you want to leave behind a better legacy than that?
Viva La Revolution.

Here I Come, Back From The Dead!

Welcome to the new Funk Sheet Beach, Zombie FSB.

Funk Sheet Beach was an experimental first blog used for class. The class is over and so is the blog. However, I have become slightly enamored with the prospect of blog writing, so as the name implies, Zombie FSB is FSB back from the dead.

I am excited at the promise of this blog because I can write whatever I want, whenever I want and not be dictated by what a teacher tells me to say.

I have always loved Zombies, but I have recently been even more facinated with them than usual. Maybe its a sign that they're coming soon. I know they're going to come and I have been training for years. Resident Evil, outsmarting the enemy and finding safe places to hide (long hallways lined with glass windows = horrible idea), House of the Dead 2, improving aim (shoot 'em in the head), Evil Dead, any George A. Romero movie, the list goes on. Most people, during a zombie attack, have the mentality of "Every man for himself. If you're infected I will shotgun you in the face and if I'm infected I expect the same courtesy", but my plan involves protecting the safety of everyone else instead of just myself, or at least enough people to create a new civilization.

I personally believe that the Burger King would make the greatest assassin. He's just always there. Smiling. His legs never move. He just keeps getting closer when your not looking. He wouldn't use a knife or a gun. No. He would sneak up and then choke you to death with an Eggnormous sandwich or a Kong size whopper and the sick bastard will just smile the whole time. If him and the Kool Aid man teamed up, it would be the end of all life as we know it.
